Kobe's Oscar Still Bugs Me

So this has been bugging me since Sunday night. Kobe Bryant won an Oscar. I know right? W-T-F! He won for best animated short for "Dear Basketball" which is basically just a 5 minute ego trip. That'd be like me winning an Oscar for this blog. You know what I deserve it! But back to Kobe and his Oscar. Really Academy? You are this star struck that you had to give Kobe an Oscar? Kobe has an Oscar before Annette Bening, Amy Adams and Glenn Close. That is tragic! And Jim Carey can't even get nominated for The Truman Show, Man on the Moon or Eternal Sunshine?!? Plus Kobe isn't actually a great winner in the "Time's Up" and "Me Too" era that we are in. Does anyone remember his troubles in Colorado a decade ago? I do. Also, am I still bitter about the 2010 NBA Finals? Hell yes I am. The Celtics had Game 7 in their pocket before they let it slip away. SIGH. Life ain't fair man. And the Oscars certainly ain't fair.
